Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate

In the manufacturing of zinc sulphate monohydrate, Digester is filled with water/wash water and then Sulphuric acid is added slowly into it. At the same time, a quantity of zinc ash is also added, till it results in the completion of the reaction. Right after, the suspension is drained in the filtration tank for storage. Filter press is used for filtering the suspension. The residue left is washed and filtered for better recovery. The filtrate is then added into a crystallizer. Chilling plant provided cooling by circulating chilled water. The solution is continuously stirred. The time the required temperature is reached, Zinc Sulphate crystals will separate out. A centrifuge is then used to separate these crystals and remove any liquor remaining. A spray drying system is used to dry the filtrate and the dried filtrate is collected in hopper. Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate is finally packed in bags and supplied to the marketplace.
